Tis' the Season?

I woke up this morning after another whirlwind weekend thinking to myself...

"Christmas is just 6 days away, correct?"

I of course answered yes to myself.

Followed by this next question..

Then why is everyone in the state of Ohio so damn grumpy.

Before I continue on I only have myself to blame for getting angry at all the Holiday madness because I wait every year till the week day before Christmas to do all my shopping!

However, this year I thought I would get clever and go yesterday {Sunday} and get it done early in the morning. 

HUGE mistake.

I can not tell you how many times the back of my ankles were clipped with carts {I have bruises!} and how many elbows were pushed into my shoulders.

Whatever happened to tis' the season and being merry and bright.

Clearly, these people have not been tuning into their local radio stations and listening to Christmas carols.

Comment card: I suggest they do.

After five hours of shopping and throwin elbows I still didn't finish my Christmas shopping. I have to show for my shopping today is two pathetic looking Macy bags and bruised ankles.

{totally butchered that word}

So I have made a personal and executive decision that to get back into my Christmas spirit today I will eat countless pieces of Ghiradelli peppermint bark and have Christmas Vacation playing constantly in my DVD player.
